Welcome to our most ambitious and exhilarating adventure yet: a six-day ski expedition through the pristine wilderness of Sarek National Park in arctic Sweden.
Known as Europe’s last great wilderness, Sarek offers an awe-inspiring landscape of immense valleys, rugged peaks, and untouched snowfields. This journey is designed for the seasoned adventurer, requiring a blend of endurance, resilience, and prior expedition experience.
As we explore this breathtaking arctic environment, we'll be pulling sleds laden with all our gear, emphasising self-reliance and teamwork. Each night, we'll set up camp under the expansive Nordic sky, surrounded by the stark beauty and tranquil silence of this remote region. Our small group size ensures a close-knit experience, fostering camaraderie and support as we navigate the challenges of the wilderness together.

Trip Requirements
As this is a challenging trip we suggest you meet the following requirements before signing up.
Ideally, you have been on either our Hut-to-Hut, Arctic Winter Skills trip already
You need to have been on a multi-day ski trip in the past 7 years.
You need to be happy skiing/active for 8-10 hours a day
You need experience on Nordic skis to handle the tough uphills and downhills
You need to have a multi-day winter or summer camping experience.
You need to be self-sufficient at managing your layers and energy in the cold.

MINIMUM NUMBER
A minimum total of 5 persons is required for tours to be confirmed to run. Private groups require 7 people, you are of course welcome to book as a solo traveler.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
For some handy tips on what you might want to pack click here and we will send you the full kit list once you’ve booked on.
WHERE DO we meet?
We will meet at 4 pm in Jokkmokk where we will pick you up and drive you to our basecamp cabin where we will stay on the first and last night of the trip. You are free to plan your return travel anytime on the final day of the trip as there are no activities planned after breakfast.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?
There will be a group briefing on the first day of the trip so please plan to get to Jokkmokk for 4pm. Then we have a chance that evening to go through the plan for the week. We spend the first and last night of the trip at our basecamp cabin so you are welcome to leave anything here you don’t wish to take with you on the trip.
WHAT SHOULD MY SKIING ABILITY BE?
You will need to have previous experience in nordic/cross-country skiing. You will need to be confident pulling a sled and going up and down hills.
WHAT IF I'VE NEVER SKIED BEFORE?
This is not the trip for you, you should check out our Intro to Nordic Skiing Trip.
WHAT WILL THE GROUP SIZE BE?
We keep our groups nice and small, so we run the trips with a maximum of 7.
WHAT IS THE FOOD LIKE?
It will be expedition-style food, so dehydrated meals that we can easily eat on the go and in the tents in the evenings.
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
Yes, travel insurance is a must. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate insurance to cover you for all aspects of this trip, including cancellation.
CAN I COME ON MY OWN?
Yes, our trips are perfect for solo travellers so this is perfect for you to join like-minded people.
HOW FIT DO I HAVE TO BE?
You need to have a strong level of fitness and be used to skiing/moving for 8-10 hours a day in touch conditions. You will be pulling a sled weighing 30kg and skiing from 10-20km a day with varying terrain.
